Arrivederci America

Ciao! Well, by this time tomorrow I will be on my flight to Rome, Italy. So many emotions are going through my head right now, I cannot wait! The anticipation is killing me! As most of you know, I will be in Rome for the semester studying Food and Culture. My return flight is for May 14, but I might extend my trip. My study abroad program is a unique U of I program where 32 students get to take classes on Italian Food and Culture, Food and Media, the History of Rome, Society and Culture of Rome, and of course basic Italian. All 32 of us are living in the same apartment located in Trastevere Rome. To be honest, I do not know much about my program and what adventures lie ahead of me, but I will soon find out!

My flight is tomorrow at 3:45, so I am getting to the airport at 1pm. I am still not really packed. I am trying to fit all of my things into one bag, but I am four pounds over. So at this rate, I am bringing one big suitcase, a duffel, carry on, and my back pack. I hope I can carry this all by myself! Sorry for this boring first blog post, I will get better at it, I promise. I will write again once I am settled in my apartment!
